Podiums and lecterns are expensive on the public school teacher budget. This laptop "cart" has been a great alternative for its price and versatility. It will hold two of my teacher manuals normally on the lower shelf or all three manuals with the bindings facing up instead of out like on a bookshelf. On the telescoping shelf, it easily supports an open teacher's manual or a 17 inch laptop.
